THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE CONSTITUTE A LEGAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN YOU AND AdweekMedia ("WE" OR "OUR"). PLEASE READ THIS AGREEMENT ("AGREEMENT") IN ITS ENTIRETY BEFORE YOU CONTINUE TO USE THIS WEBSITE OR DOWNLOAD ANY IMAGE. BY USING THIS WEBSITE, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THIS AGREEMENT. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE, DISCONTINUE USING THE SITE.

RULES OF THE CONTEST

Eligibility:
For work presented in June 20, 2009 through February 1, 2010 and in the English language, entries may be submitted by any agency, company or individual involved in creating branded entertainment. By selecting the checkbox for the terms and conditions, you agree that you are the party authorized to release the work.

Categories:
Judges reserve the right to re-categorize entries if they feel that submissions have been classified incorrectly.

  1. Event: Best integration of a brand into an existing event.
  2. Film: Most memorable-yet natural-cameo by a brand in a motion picture.
  3. Gaming: Most seamless incorporation of a brand logo, character, jingle or product into the world of a game.
  4. Viral Marketing: Best use of grassroots marketing to generate attention and awareness of a brand or product.
  5. Online: Most attention-getting and effective use of the online medium to market a product, such as through a short film or a viral e-mail campaign.
  6. Music: Best integration of a product, service or message in music-based entertainment.
  7. Outdoor: Most innovative and effective use of outdoor media to market a brand or product.
  8. Print: Most ingenious weaving of a consumer product into the pages of a magazine, newspaper or book.
  9. Radio: Best brand integration into an on-air radio program.
  10. Reality Television: Best seamless integration of a brand into a reality show.
  11. Scripted Television: Best seamless integration of a brand into a sitcom or drama.
  12. Sports: Best-conceived and -executed branding of a sporting event and/or telecast.
  13. Wireless Promotion: Best use of wireless platform for a brand promotion.
  14. User Generated: Best interactive, user generated marketing platform/campaign.
  15. Social Media: Best use of social media platforms.
  16. Public Relations: Best use of public relations methods and media to engage audiences.
  17. Integrated Campaign: Includes three or more elements from categories 1-13 or 15.

One winner per category will be selected. The most BUZZ-worthy campaign among category winners will be awarded the Grand Prize, a full color spread profiling the winning campaign (valued at $68,660) in the Buzz Award custom section in Adweek, Brandweek and Mediaweek magazines.

Governing Law and Venue

This Agreement shall be interpreted, construed and governed by the laws of the state of NY, without reference to its laws relating to conflicts of law and not including the provisions of the 1980 United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Venue for all disputes arising under this Agreement shall lie exclusively in state or federal courts of located in New York County and each party agrees not to contest the personal jurisdiction of these courts. Notwithstanding the foregoing, however, Adweek shall have the right to commence and prosecute any legal or equitable action or proceeding before any non-U.S. court of competent jurisdiction to obtain injunctive or other relief in the event that, in the opinion of AdweekMedia, such action is necessary or desirable. No action of AdweekMedia, other than an express written waiver or amendment, may be construed as a waiver or amendment of any of these Terms and Conditions of Use or Privacy Policy. Should any clause of these Terms and Conditions of Use or Privacy Policy be found unenforceable, wherever possible this will not affect any other clause and each will remain in full force and effect. We reserve the right to change these Terms and Conditions of Use, Licensing Agreement, the Privacy Policy, prices, information and available contractual license terms featured on this website without notice. These conditions set out the entire agreement between Adweek and you relating to your use of this website. VALIDITY If any part of this agreement is found void and unenforceable, it will not affect the validity of the balance of the agreement, which shall remain valid and enforceable according to its terms.
